Hire Flutter developers

One codebase for both platforms, in Dart. Sensible when the app is content- or form-driven; less so when it leans hard on native APIs.

What they are hired to build

The work, before the CV.

A role written against the work gets a better shortlist than a role written against a stack. These are what Flutter engineers are usually brought in to do.

Roles we recruit: Flutter developer · Senior Flutter engineer · Cross-platform mobile engineer.

  • Apps that must ship to both stores on one budget
  • Internal and field applications
  • MVPs where time to a testable build is the constraint

The technical screen

What the conversation actually covers.

Every candidate has a real technical conversation with an engineer who has done the job, and you get written evidence per competency. In Flutter, that conversation covers the following.

Usually assessed alongside: Dart, Riverpod, Bloc or Provider, Firebase, Native basics.

  • Widget rebuild behaviour and where they have fixed jank
  • State management, and why they chose the approach they did
  • Platform channels — what they have had to drop to native for
  • Whether they have shipped to both stores, or only built for one
Worth saying up front

If the app depends heavily on platform-specific hardware or background behaviour, we will say native is the better hire, even though it costs more and takes longer to fill.
